Today, we visited Harris Methodist Church and worshipped together. Harris Methodist Church is a church with ties to Jogakuin. The founder of our school, Teikichi Sunamoto, was also a pastor at Harris Church. We were surprised by the many songs that were sung during the service. It was full of music. We also sang a hymn in Japanese in front of everyone. We were very nervous, but after the service, everyone praised us, so we were happy. After that, we had lunch with the people who came to the service. We made small talk and learned about places in Honolulu and each other’s hobbies. We had a very good time. We were able to make connections with many people and realized the importance of connections between people.
