During summer vacation, Global Issues students gave a tour of the Peace Park to the Hiroshima Peace Scholars from Hawaii. This program is run by the Japan-America Society of Hawaii. It was very hot, but it was a great opportunity to spread peace through understanding. The Hiroshima Peace Scholars folded 1,000 paper cranes and placed them at the Children’s Peace Monument. It was a powerful moment.
