We returned to Japan from Chicago today. We could return to Japan safely. Many people got sick from flying by airplane. I ate “udon” at Haneda airport. We didn’t eat Japanese food while staying in America, so I felt it was very nice.
I noticed many differences between America and Japan, such as toilets, the food, and climate.
I also noticed that in America, hugs are used as greetings. When I said goodbye to people I met in America, we hugged. We don’t hug in Japan. The traffic lights were different from Japan, too. There is a lot of land in Ohio, so the sites of the houses are large. My host family’s garden was large and the roads were wide. In America, you can drive from 16. High school students can drive. The law and culture were very different.
