We left our hotel in Cleveland and two University of Mount Union staff picked us up to go to a fast food restaurant. We ate some french fries, fried chicken, and fruit. It was delicious.
After that, we went to “Hot Pots” – a ceramic painting spot We tried painting. I painted this:
Everyone had fun and I heard a lot of laughter.
Then we visited the University of Mount Union. Two Japanese students guided us for a campus tour. One was Shizuku Yamashima – she is a Jogakuin graduate and she’s a sophomore studying nursing as a Murakami scholar at Mount Union.
Finally, we met our host families and ate dinner together. We felt nervous, but our host families were very kind. We will live with our host family for 6 days. I’m really looking forward to it!
