Today, Dr. Coleman taught us about protests. I didn’t know much about them, so I learned many new things. It was very interesting.
We also did a presentation about the atomic bomb, Hiroshima, and Jogakuin to local people. We gave the presentation to the Kiwanis Club and at Mount Union. Everyone listened carefully and asked us many questions. We were nervous, but we practiced a lot, so we could finish it without mistakes. I was surprised that people in America ask questions more actively than in Japan.
Today was the last day with our host family. We had our last dinner together and ate a lot of American food. After we got home, I gave my host family a letter. After they read it, we all cried.
It was a short visit, but I was very happy to spend time with a wonderful host family.
I feel sad to say goodbye, but I will treasure these memories.
