On October 26, some members of the GI Debate Team participated in the 17th Hiroshima Prefectural High School English Debate Tournament, held at Hiroshima Municipal Funairi High School. The Hiroshima Jogakuin team achieved third place, and one of our members received the Best Debater Award.
Through the limited preparation time and the tension of the matches, the valuable experience not only strengthened our English communication skills but also greatly developed our logical and critical thinking abilities.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our team leader, all the members, the teachers who supported us, our opponent schools, and everyone involved in organizing the tournament.
10月26日、GIのディベートグループのメンバーの一部が、広島市立舟入高等学校で開催された第17回広島県高校生英語ディベート大会に出場しました。広島女学院チームは第3位という成績を収め、さらにメンバーの1人がベストディベーター賞を受賞しました。
限られた期間の中での準備や試合当日の緊張感を通して、英語でのコミュニケーション能力だけでなく論理的思考力や批判的思考力も大きく鍛えられた貴重な経験となりました。
チームを率いてくれたリーダーをはじめ、すべてのメンバー、そして支えてくださった先生、対戦校の皆さま、大会運営に携わってくださったすべての方々に、心より感謝申し上げます。
